Best Homemade Hair Treatment for Dry & Damaged Hair

Hi guys!

This homemade hair mask is one I mixed up myself, combining ingredients that have been proven to have better effects than those store bought expensive products or the even more expensive, break the bank salon treatments. I thought if ONE ingredient can do that, what happens if you combine several ingredients with the same nourishing effects? I whipped it up, tried it out on three different hair types- color treated, oily with split ends & super dry- with one thing in common: DAMAGE! With just one treatment, each person experienced an immediate change in how their hair felt. So after completing two 3 month long trial la of using this treatment once per week, then following a three month schedule I had came up with after several trial & errors with my own hair (yes, I have spent many months working on this treatment & the best usage schedule) the results each of us experienced was amazing! Our hair felt ten times better, breakage was reduced by about 80% and each of us noticed that our hair LOOKED shiny, strong and silky smooth. AMAZING, especially since all these ingredients can be bought at the grocery store! Have fun & give it a try...you will love it!

INGREDIENTS (increase depending on hair thickness & length)

1/3 cup mayo
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 egg
2 tablespoons castor oil

DIRECTIONS
Use a whisk to combine all ingredients until thoroughly combined. Add 3/4 of the treatment to your dry hair's ends...from the tops of your ears to the very end of your hair. Save the remaining 1/3 of the treatment for the end, adding it to the ends first where most of the damage is allows the hair to soak up all the yummy health the ingredients provide without leaving your hair greasy. Leave the first part of the treatment on for 20 minutes. While waiting, throw a clean, dry towel into your dryer & let it dry for 15 minutes. Now, add the last 1/3 to your roots, using your fingers to massage into your scalp for at least five minutes. This promotes healthy hair growth right from the start with the added benefit that massaging this into your scalp promotes quicker, healthier hair growth. Use the heated towel to wrap your entire head of hair up and leave it up for ten minutes. This opens both the hair follicle & shaft so each strand can soak up the treatment.

When time is up, rinse hair thoroughly with lukewarm water. Shampoo, scrubbing the root area well with your fingertips (never use your nails this causes too much damage) to remove all the oil; then, condition your hair as normally.  Avoid washing your hair for 48 hrs..this allows the residue of the treatment to finish working while allowing your natural oils to build up...studies have shown natural oils repair hair quicker & better than salon quality deep conditioning treatments. The day I did the treatment, I style my hair naturally. The next day, I did a quick ponytail. That way I could avoid washing it for the full time. The schedule for maximum benefits is posted below.

Month One
Use treatment one per week.

Month Two
Use treatment once per week for three weeks, skipping a treatment on the last week & allowing the hair the rest.

Month Three
Use treatment biweekly for this month!

If you want to continue using this treatment after the three months, I recommend doing it three months, skipping a month entirely, then return to the treatment starting over with month one.

Good luck dollies! I know you will love your hair as much as I do after using this homemade treatment!
