Here are a few tips to get the most of your popping eyeliner!
- Keep your eyeshadow colors neutral & light. Pale brown, bronze, honey & gray colors are great background colors for bright eyeliners because it makes the color more noticable.
- Tighten up those water lines with a black eyeliner pencil. This just means to apply a light coat of a basic black eyeliner to each of your lash lines, directly between each of the lashes. Expose the inner lash lines by gently lifting the upper eyelid & pressing gently underneath the eye.
- Apply two coats of the colored eyeliner on the upper eyelid only, from corner to corner.
- Find a matching eyeshadow color and add it on top of the colors eyeliner to hold the color in place & make it more vibrant.
- Use a pencil brush to line the lower lashes with the matching eyeshadow. The eyeshadow will give a smokey, vibrant look to the eye that is harder to achieve with just the eyeliner.
- Curl your lashes. This will open the eyes up & had to the dramatic effect of the eyes.
- Apply a generous amount of black mascara. The bright eyeliner color will contrast against the black for a more colorful effect.
- Keep the cheeks & lips very nude. This brings all the focus to the brightest part of your face, which will be your eyes.
