I recently seen a similar product called Nailene DuraColour Nail Strips at my local Dollar Tree. Just for fun, I grabbed a few boxes. After my Sally Hansen Salon Effects peeled off, I replaced them with DuraColour Nail Strips in a super cute purple butterfly pattern. (I love pink, purple and butterflies!) These cheap babies stayed on for 13 days and even then, only one nail started to peel. I replaced it with another one and got 4 more days before the rest started to peel. That's a two week difference. And for only a buck! The only drawback I found was the DuraColour strips left a very sticky residue while the Sally Hansen version didn't. This may be because the cheaper version has a larger amount of adhensive, which would also explain the longer wear. But a little acetone nail polish remover took it right off!
If you have a Dollar Tree near you, go grab a pack. There are a lot of patterns and colors to choose from and each pack comes with 36 nail strips. Of course, everyone may experience different results but I love these things. The Sally Hansen ones are super cool too but just didn't last as long as the cheaper version. Just think...for the price of one box of the Nail Effects, you can get 8 different styles of the DuraColour. I took several different pictures over the total 17 days which I will post the first thing in the morning. It is 1:19 am here and I am exhausted. I also have a tutorial with step by step photos that will be uploaded tomorrow. So check back to see how it is done! Don't forget to subscribe and follow me on Twitter (@DivaliciousMoma.) I also wanted to mention one of my favorite sites for beauty and fashion www.elleandblair.com. They are two of my favorite YouTube Gurus and they share some amazing insider information on all things beauty! Check em out!
